Everyday hard-working dedicated Volunteers with animal rescue groups across the United States help abandoned, abused and neglected animals.  These unpaid Angels provide good food, medical care, fresh  water and clean warm beds for these unwanted and uncared for animals.  DDR's Volunteers are no exception.  The article below "Raindrops in the Ocean" is reproduced with permission of Hearts United for Animals and appeared in HUA's Summer, 2009 newsletter.  Dakota Dachshund Rescue is grateful to Judy Marchand, Board Member-Intake Coordinator and Pat Marchand, Board Member-Director at Large for their tireless dedication and participation in several rescue efforts.  And we offer Paws Up to the other rescue groups that came together to help end the suffering of these animals
