This is Goose! Likes: Loves to be with his people and loves to play with other dogs. He is shy around new people and barks at them. He is still learning to be a family pet. Goose is very curious about toys. He is exploring them and loves to chew. After all he is a puppy. Dislikes: Not really a fan of being in the kennel but is getting good praise and is learning it is not so scary. He does not want his person to leave him. We are working on small periods of time away from his foster mom and tons of praise. Temperament: He loves to snuggle and chew on toys. He has a ton of energy and will play hard and then nap just as hard. Do I get along with cats? Unknown High prey drive? He seems to want to chase the bunnies and the neighbor cat in the yard so a fence is truly a must. Do I get along with kids? Still very shy with people but has not shown any aggressiveness. Age recommendation of children: unknown. I think since he is a puppy he could be taught how to interact with kids without an issue. Do I get along with dogs (large and small)? Yes Would I do best if I had a social dog in the home to help me learn to "dog"? Yes Goose very much loves to play with other dogs. He would thrive with another dog in his home. Kennel trained: Work in progress. He is learning but he has not been with his foster mom for long. He should be kenneled when he cannot be supervised. He does have the ability to run around the house when he can be watched. Since he is a puppy he chews on everything. Goose is doing well with house training but will poop if not taken out after eating and when really nervous. He does very well. He doesn't really understand the concept yet, but he does love to walk with his person so the leash is not a big deal. Goose is 8 months old, he is a standard dachshund currently weighs 17 pounds, his adoption fee is $600 plus sales tax $27=$627 My adoption fee helps cover all of my vetting needs such as HW test, rabies, DHPPL, Bordetella, neuter, dental if needed and microchipping.
