 THE RAINBOW BRIDGE 
 Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.  You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Boss came to DDR as a breeder boy. He was always a very sweet loving guy that loved everyone. He found his forever home at one point but came back to DDR when his owner couldn't care for him medically anymore. Gus was a very grateful, very loving sweet senior dachshund. Gus lived life to the fullest everyday he lived, he was given 14 years 11 months and he loved everyone that cared for him. Rest in Peace little guy, we were so happy to have you pass our way.   Duke II came to DDR with his sweetheart Duchess. Duke found his special forever foster home with Mel, he was loved and well understood...he could e a cranky old guy sometimes :) Duke loved life! Camping, hanging out in the yard or in front of the fireplace.....Mel and Darla took great care of him! Duke was 15 1/2 yrs old. He passed away from cancer   My name is Pepper. After being allowed to be a foster dog with Ben and Char in early 2011, I found a Forever Home with them. I was 9 years old and a "senior" pup! They allowed me to join their "pack" and I lived with them just over four year until this past weekend when I passed away and crossed the Bridge on Sunday. We had lots of fun, and the three of us went for car rides two or three times nearly every day, and spent lots of good times together. We went on walks around the neighborhood and I was allowed to ride with Ben in a golf cart several times at Prairie Green Golf Course! That was fun! I will be waiting for them in heaven, so I can thank them for rescuing me and giving me a Second home. I may get to wait outside the gates of Heaven so I can greet them when they arrive, just like they greeted me into their home! I know they will still talk to me and remember the things we did together, and hopefully will do it with a big smile on their faces! I know they will cry for me because I am gone from them, but I will be waiting for them in heaven! I will miss them too. It will not be heaven for me without them! Thanks, Diane, for getting the three of us together!     Sadie came to DDR as an owner surrender. She and Chloe were sisters that loved to be together. Sadie was always the quiet one that loved to sit on the couch next to you as her sister played ball. Sadie was such a snuggler, she never asked for much, just a pet or a hug and a place next to you wherever you sat. Sadie was such a beautiful girl! She will be missed terribly by her foster mom who adopted Sadie shortly before she passed away. Thanks Tonya for giving a senior girl a home of her own in her golden years!
