We are an all-volunteer/foster home-based rescue.
Apply to adopt by filling out the online adoption application on our main website dakotadachshundrescue.org
Click on Adoption Info under the Navigation bar on the left side of the page. Fill out the form by clicking on the picture of the computer screen with our logo on it.

Gus came to Dakota Dachshund Rescue as a breeder release boy.
He is just beginning his journey to become a house pet.

Gus could use some angels to sponsor him.

Gus was diagnosed as Heartworm positive July 27th.
He is on doxycycline and oral heartworm preventive monthly now.
also on a flea/tick product that kills mosquitoes as well.  
First treatment injection will be Sept 23.  

Gus will be in the rescue for multiple months while he goes through his treatment.

My adoption fee helps cover all of my vetting needs such as HW test, rabies, DHPPL, Bordetella, neuter, and microchipping.
