Sioux Falls' Canaries are only having ONE Bark in the Park Night this year, so this is your chance folks! $ 11.00 - YES, Really - $ 11.00 will get you AND your pup into the ballgame! These are bleacher seats, and you're welcome to sit out on the berm in you prefer. Roll in the grass. Have some fun! It’s Happy Hour at the Bird Cage too! Buck a beer until 7:00 p.m. ($ 2.50 after that.) Gates open at 6:00, so come early, grab a cold one and stop by to meet some of our Hot Dogs! No mustard needed! We have many adoptable dachshunds looking for their forever homes, and they’ll be there to greet you when you come to the game, so be sure to stop by. Kisses are free! There are also several Doggie Contests planned for the night: Largest Dog – Any dachsies out there have a Great Dane for a sibling? Smallest Dog – Tell them to get low . . . like when they’ve spotted a crumb out of reach! Best Costume – We’ve seen the costumes at the Stampede games, so we’re super excited! Just stop by the Gazebo the night of the game to sign up your dachshunds, and any other lucky dogs you bring out to the ball park. The Gazebo is by the main gate. The more the merrier! So don’t delay. Order your tickets now! Ticket forms must be submitted by Wednesday, June 26th for DDR to receive credit! Remember: $ 5.00 from each $11.00 ticket SOLD IN ADVANCE using the DDR Form will go to Dakota Dachshund Rescue. And since there is only one Bark in the Park Night this year, we are competing with the Humane Society for tickets sold. Why? Because if we sell more tickets using the DDR Form, than the Humane Society does using theirs, we would win the proceeds from every $ 5.00 Doggy Ticket sold the night of the game! Now we’re not letting the fur fly by any means =), either way the money goes to good organizations committed to helping rescued and sheltered pets in the Sioux Falls area, but we have to be honest, our dachsies are still crossing their paws below their tummies that we win! Save the Date! Save the Date! Save the Date! Paws down, we'll have the most adorable Meet and Greeters ever in the lobby to greet Stampede fans on Saturday, February 22, 2014! We'll have our 7th Annual Wiener Dog Races during the 1st Intermission, with the winners of each heat racing against one another in the 2nd Intermission. We'll have a costume contest, with the top dogs going before the crowd and the winner determined by applause. We'll have raffles, we'll have fun, we'll have laughter, and we'll have lots of the little low-riders at the ready with a cold-nose kiss or two just waiting for you! And you know what the first step is? A ticket! But not just any ticket! OUR TICKETS! If you use our form, then $ 5.00 of every ticket sold will go to benefit the dachshunds in our care. We have great news too! The Stampede has made more seating options available this year too. You even have the option of calling to order tickets, but please don't forget to mention our form to Jim when you do! We so appreciate your support of our rescue! We'll have raffles, we'll have fun, we'll have laughter, and we'll have lots of the little low-riders at the ready with a cold-nose kiss or two just waiting for you! Stampede/Sioux Nation 10th Anniversary Weiner Dog Saturday February 18th, 2017 7:05 PM until 10:00 PM Location: Denny Sanford Premier Center Map: Sioux Falls SD See all of the animals attending this event. 10TH ANNIVERSARY RACE SET FOR FEB. 18 The ever famous Sioux Nation Pet Clinic Wiener Dog Races are coming back to the Stampede on February 18 when the Herd host Bloomington at 7:05 p.m. inside the PREMIER Center. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the race that started them all! For the past two seasons the race had been held to a sellout crowd of 10,678 fans who witnessed “Lily” take home the grand championship. Registration and ticket links are below. This year, 40 wiener dogs will participate, but only one will be crowned champion! Once again awards will be handed out to the top racers in each heat with the top two racers from each heat advancing to the Final Four where only one dog will come away as champion! Dakota Dachshund Rescue will be at the game with some lovable, adoptable dachshunds in the front lobby before and during the game. Registration is now open for humans wishing to race their wiener dogs. The first 40 registrations received will be entered into the race. There will also be a costume contest that dogs can enter during the second intermission! Please note that ONLY 100% purebred dachshunds will be allowed to register Email your completed registration to: olander@sfstampede.com. There is a $15 registration fee due the night of the race with 100% of the fee going directly to Dakota Dachshund Rescue. There will also be a costume contest during the game as well. Judging will take place during registration prior to the start of the game. You will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours and exact details on the event will be sent out prior to the race. Each dog must have two humans with for the race, one to release and one to catch. Please note that it is Denny Sanford PREMIER Center policy that everyone has a ticket to the game. Fans can purchase tickets for as little as $15 by filling out the order form (link is below). $5 from each ticket will go to Dakota Dachshund Rescue to help their rescue efforts!
